Opening times

Elsecar workshops are open all year round except Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day. Individual shops and businesses have varying opening times.

Monday - Sunday, 10am - 4pm.

Winter closure

Elsecar Heritage Centre is closed Christmas Day and New Years Day. The shops will be closed on Boxing Day but the Earl’s Tipi will remain open.

Parking

Free on-site parking. Cycle racks are also available on site.

Please use official car parks or the Elsecar Cricket Club car park only. Please do not park on village streets and respect local residents.

Coach parking is available, please contact the Visitor Centre on 01226 740203 to book a space.

Public Transport

There are excellent bus and train links to Elsecar.

Access is also avaiable from the Trans Pennine Trail.

Cafés

There are two on site cafes, The Pantry and Brambles Tea Rooms, both serving a delicious range of food and drink – everything from light bites, afternoon tea, warming drinks and tempting treats. Outside seating is available and dogs are welcome.

Beer

We have an extensive Beer Tap on site, Maison du Biere, selling and serving beers from all around the world. Elsecar is famous for its quality traditional pubs too, with a series of real ale pubs between the Heritage Centre and railway station, 10 minutes away.
