Madfest line-up is music to the ears

Get your tickets for Madfest 2013 - three days of folk music, street theatre entertainment, spoken word, craft stalls and real ale.

This laid back family friendly festival is now in its fourth year and has found its home in the historic industrial village of Elsecar Heritage Centre, taking place from Friday, 2 to Sunday, 4 August.

The event will feature Capercaillie; Carthy, Hardy, Farrell and Young; Emily Smith; La Vent du Nord; Larkin Poe, Gilmore & Roberts, Rita Payne; Dave McGraw and Mandy Fer, Red Hippo, Birds of Chicago, The Baghdaddies, Feet first, Treebeard, Mambo Jambo, Lauren Tate, PlumHall, Bar Steward Sons of Val Doonican, Frumptarn Guggen Band, Pif-Paf Theatre, Tell Tale Hearts, Point Blank theatre, Qdos Creates, Maynard Flip Flap, Le Navet Bete, Artizani, Mark Mark Productions and many more to be announced.

A weekend ticket costs £35, an evening ticket is £15 and camping is £10

This year the festival has expanded to include a family theatre tent and poetry and has huge selection of performances and activities across the Heritage Centre that are free to attend during the day on Saturday and Sunday.
