Elsecar Stroll by Twilight: The Earl’s Model Village

Join us for an evening walk to discover the amazing stories of a model industrial village, created during the 18th and 19th centuries by the Earls Fitzwilliam around their growing industries of iron and coal. The walk will look at early workers housing, the growth of village amenities (including schools and churches) and of course the many village pubs that played such an important part in the village’s industrial story.

Please ensure that you bring suitable footwear, outdoor clothing and a torch. The walks will take around 2 hours and will finish back at the Visitor Centre. Meet at the Visitor Centre at 7pm.
