Home From The Front

Based at Elsecar Heritage Centre, your experience of World War One will feature an authentic steam rail journey where actors portray real local people telling their stories of the war and returning home. This historic site will bustle with characters and memories, recreating life in South Yorkshire a century ago. Featuring 1904, Leeds built steam locomotive No.813 and period carriage, visiting especially for the event.

Adults: Standard Class £10 • 1st Class £12.50
Blue Badge Holders, U21s and Service Personnel: Standard Class £5 • 1st Class £7.50

Performances will last approximately 45 minutes, which includes a 25-minute train journey in a period carriage.
